Who is the Penguins' MVP?

Posted on: February 25, 2008 3:58 pm

During the Pittsburgh Penguins season it has been filled with ups and downs and injuries. First Marc-Andre Fleury goes down for the Pens in December, it seemed like the season could be lost for the Pens' but Ty Conklin recalled from Wilkes/Barre-Scranton had the Pens playing their best hockey yet. Also helping lead that charge was the teams' captain Sidney Crosby. Crosby, who won the scoring title last season, was looking to repeat and he filling into his new captain role nicely leading the team and tied for the league lead with 63 points. Then came the infamous high ankle sprain and seemed once again the Pens' season was doomed. Then, after a meeting with head coach Micheal Therrien, Evgeni Malkin took this team on his back. He has the Pens winning and is on a tear by now taking over the lead league in points with 82. He went from 15th in the league in points to first since the duration of the Crosby's injury. They are all great players and have all contribued to the Pens' success, but who truly is the Pens' MVP?

Is it......

A. Evgeni Malkin         B. Sidney Crosby          C. Ty Conklin
